Condition
Used – Good Condition – Fully Tested & Operational
This Gino Rossi commercial espresso grinder has been professionally inspected and tested to confirm proper motor operation, bean grinding, grind adjustment, automatic dosing function, doser-lever movement, power-switch operation, hopper fit, and portafilter-support function.
The chrome and stainless steel exterior shows visible scratches, scuffs, tarnishing, discoloration, coffee residue, worn labels, and other cosmetic signs consistent with previous commercial café use. The clear bean hopper also shows staining, cloudiness, scratches, and normal wear from storing roasted coffee beans.
The manufacturer plate identifies the machine as Tipo R.45, manufactured by G. Rossi S.A. in 1997. Please review all photos carefully for the exact physical condition.
Description
The Gino Rossi R.45, commonly known as the RR45, is a heavy-duty commercial espresso coffee grinder designed for cafés, restaurants, bakeries, hotels, coffee shops, catering facilities, and other foodservice operations requiring consistent espresso grinding.
The grinder uses a pair of commercial 64 mm flat grinding burrs to produce a uniform grind suitable for traditional espresso preparation. Replacement burr references for the Rossi RR45 confirm an approximately 64 mm outside diameter, 38 mm inside diameter, 9 mm thickness, three-hole mounting pattern, and left-hand rotation.
A large transparent hopper holds a substantial supply of whole coffee beans above the grinding chamber. The stepped adjustment collar allows the operator to change the grind from finer to coarser settings according to the coffee blend, humidity, espresso-machine pressure, and desired extraction time.
Ground coffee is transferred into the integrated cylindrical doser. The automatic system is designed to maintain a supply of ground coffee in the doser chamber, while the side-mounted lever dispenses measured portions directly into a commercial espresso-machine portafilter.
The RR45 platform is a professional grinder-dispenser with replaceable burrs, doser components, portafilter fork, adjustment components, and serviceable commercial parts. Parts documentation continues to list replacement components specifically for the Rossi RR45 series.
Grinding Specifications
Grinder Type: Commercial Espresso Grinder-Dispenser Grinding Mechanism: Flat Burrs Burr Diameter: Approximately 64 mm Burr Dimensions: Approximately 64 mm OD × 38 mm ID × 9 mm Thick Burr Rotation: Left-Hand Burr Mounting: Three-Hole Pattern Grind Adjustment: Stepped Adjustment Collar Dosing System: Automatic Doser with Manual Dispensing Lever Primary Application: Commercial Espresso Grinding Installation Type: Countertop
The 64 mm flat-burr configuration is confirmed by current replacement-burr specifications and RR45 parts documentation.
Automatic Dosing System
The integrated doser is designed to collect ground coffee and maintain a ready supply during busy service periods.
Doser Features
Automatic doser-filling operation
Manual portion-dispensing lever
Multi-compartment dosing chamber
Adjustable dose mechanism
Portafilter-positioned coffee outlet
Commercial metal doser body
Transparent upper viewing section
Built-in coffee tamper area
Front-mounted portafilter support
The automatic feature refers to the grinder’s ability to maintain ground coffee in the dosing chamber. The operator still uses the side lever to dispense coffee into the portafilter.
Hopper Capacity
Hopper Type: Large Commercial Bean Hopper Approximate Capacity: 1.0–1.2 kg of Coffee Beans Material: Transparent Commercial-Grade Plastic Lid: Included Mounting Style: Top Mounted
The hopper is suitable for continuous café service, although actual capacity may vary slightly depending on the hopper version and coffee-bean density.
The hopper shown in the photographs has visible staining, cloudiness, and surface wear but appears structurally present.
Electrical Specifications
Power Type: Electric Voltage: Confirm from the complete electrical data plate Phase: Single Phase, subject to plate verification Frequency: Confirm before installation Amperage: Not Visible in Supplied Photos Plug Type: Attached Commercial Power Cord
The worn manufacturer label visible in the photo confirms the model and production year but does not clearly show the voltage, amperage, or wattage.
The buyer must verify the electrical rating before connecting the grinder. The machine should not be connected based only on external plug appearance.
Approximate Dimensions
Width: Approximately 8–9 in Depth: Approximately 14–16 in Height: Approximately 22–25 in with Hopper Installed
Dimensions should be considered approximate because the precise RR45 configuration and hopper version may vary.
The buyer should verify final measurements before installation beneath shelving or beside an espresso machine.
