The unit’s frame is made of heavy-gauge steel with black surface paneling. To support large display arrangements, the case has three levels, each with a perforated rear panel.
For efficient operation and to provide ample interior space, the Howard-McCray SC-OS30E-3-B cool display case’s self-contained refrigeration system is positioned at the rear. The front grill is removable for easy access when maintenance or deep cleaning is needed. Staff must use the electronic controller to set the desired holding temperature, which ranges from 36 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The automatic defrost system runs six times a day to prevent ice development.
